How is my content protected?
Content is protected while it is waiting to be opened and is only revealed through its unique link.
What happens when a link is opened?
After a successful reveal, the secret content is removed from the server. The same link cannot reveal it again.
Can SelfDestruct.Click recover a viewed secret?
No. Once successfully viewed, the secret content is removed and is no longer available to recover.
How long does an unopened link last?
Anonymous and Free links expire after 30 days. Premium users can choose an exact expiry date and time or leave an unopened link active until it is viewed or deleted.
What account information do you need?
Just an email address and password. We do not ask for your name, address or profile information.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. You can permanently delete your account from the dashboard. Any remaining secret content belonging to the account is removed as part of deletion.
What does Premium add?
Premium adds password-protected links, custom expiry date and time, higher usage limits and enhanced link controls. Link access status is available to all account holders.
Do you have an API?
Yes. Account holders can create and manage API keys from their dashboard. Free accounts can use the same API; Premium-only options are simply ignored when the key belongs to a Free account.
